- 5 ounces fresh spinach
- 1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
- ½ yellow onion, sliced
- 2 ounces crumbled feta cheese
- 4 ounces shredded Swiss cheese, divided
- 1 9-inch deep dish prepared pie crust
- 4 large eggs
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Prepare all the ingredients and preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C), ensuring it's fully heated before baking for the best results.
Carefully mix the spinach, mushrooms, onion, and feta cheese in a bowl. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust, then sprinkle half of the Swiss cheese on top for added flavor.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, parsley, garlic, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Pour the mixture over the filling, gently swirling the bowl to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed. Sprinkle the remaining Swiss cheese on top, then carefully transfer the quiche onto a baking sheet for baking.
Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until it is lightly puffed and golden brown. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center—if it comes out clean, the quiche is ready. Allow the quiche to cool for 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
