- 1 (3 pound) whole chicken
- 1 pinch salt
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground paprika
- ¼ tbsp ground black pepper
Assemble all your ingredients and preheat your outdoor grill to a high temperature, ensuring the grate is lightly oiled for optimal cooking.
Sprinkle a pinch of salt inside the chicken cavity, then use kitchen string to tie the legs together and secure the wings against the body. Finally, fasten the chicken onto the rotisserie attachment.
Position the rotisserie over the preheated grill and let it cook for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, swiftly combine the butter, 1 tablespoon of salt, paprika, and pepper. Reduce the grill heat to medium and baste the chicken with the buttery mixture.
Close the lid and cook over medium heat, basting occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 180°F (83°C), which should take about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Take the chicken off the rotisserie and allow it to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before carving.
