Ingredients

  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 5 cloves cloves garlic, minced or pressed through a garlic press
  • tablespoons  fresh lemon juice, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • aluminum foil
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 (3 pound) salmon fillet
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions

  • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to fully preheat. This ensures the perfect cooking temperature for your dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together ½ cup of olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, brown sugar, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined. This creates a flavorful marinade or sauce to enhance your dish.
  • Lay a large sheet of aluminum foil on a baking tray and lightly coat it with 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Position the salmon, skin-side down, in the center of the foil and pour the olive oil mixture over the top, ensuring it’s evenly covered.
  • Fold the sides of the foil around the salmon to form a sealed packet, ensuring the edges are tightly closed to trap the flavors inside.
  • Place the foil packet in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the salmon easily flakes with a fork. Once done, garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices for a vibrant finish.
