Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • tablespoons white sugar
  • 12 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish, preparing it for the casserole to come.
  • In a bowl, combine the baking mix, 1 cup of Cheddar cheese, milk, maple syrup, eggs, and sugar. Stir until well blended, then pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Sprinkle the cooked bacon and remaining Cheddar cheese over the top, then return it to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
