Ingredients

  • 1 ( (1 1/2 to 1 3/4 pounds) round or oval sourdough loaf or crusty Italian bread, unsliced
  • 5 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8-ounce) wheel Brie cheese, cut lengthwise in 1-inch strips, then thinly sliced crosswise
  • cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  • Collect all the ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with foil. Using a serrated knife, make diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart on the top of the bread, ensuring not to cut all the way through to the bottom.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, honey, rosemary, thyme, pepper, and salt until well combined.
  • Carefully separate the bread along the cuts and drizzle half of the butter mixture evenly over the exposed areas.
  • Fill the cuts with slices of Brie and cranberries, packing them in as you work your way through.
  • Set the loaf on the prepared baking sheet and pour the remaining butter mixture over the top, ensuring it's evenly coated.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the Brie has melted and the bread is golden and crispy. Serve right away for the best flavor and texture.
